I have the following error: midi device could not be started! MIDI_ERROR_NOMEM But the program can detect the name of my module (alesis nitro). And I've been able to create profile with the program in the past. Probably all you have to do is to reboot your pc and try again. Make sure the midi device is not used in another app. If this does not help, please reinstall your midi device drivers.

Hello, first I would like to say how awesome you are for maintaining this software for this long! Second, it's not working for me. My drumkit is some obscure chinese brand - Zachary ZED-10. I can't read chinese, but this seems like it has a lot of information. It does have a USB output and PS2 connections though. I'm using the USB and the drivers were picked up instantly from MS. I've tried recording the input with Audacity and there's definitely coming inputs through. However, when trying to detect the input, nothing is detected when I hit any of the pads ? I can give you any information that you might need, if you are willing to add support for this. EDIT: So apparently, there's a section in the manual that say to switch to channel 10 for midi. I don't know what this means, I am assuming they mean drumkit 10, the presaved one. Sounds exactly the same as the other kits though. Anyway, I recorded the input in Audacity and it seems like it's the literal sounds coming through USB. I've attached a .ZIP with the mp3 and a txt file that says which drum it is. I guess I could set each individual drum sound to a click on the instrument, but that would take ages, also I don't think you'd be able to differentiate between the pads then. midi out.zip (199.19 KB)

Hi there. Both the game and my app expects to receive midi note events, when you hit the pad. Once you manage to do that, you will be able to create a midi profile and then play the game, so it is better to focus on that. My drums in example has 2 outputs - the usb one (wireless dongle) sends gamepad buttons data to windows, the DIN5 output sends midi notes to windows (using a separate standard din5 to usb midi cable, which comes along with own drivers - those drivers creates a midi in device, which I use for the app and game).

Thanks for replying. I have just recieved my din5 usb cable today and it works with your program straight out of the box. Perfect!!
