Following this topic as well. I'm interested in potentially running the game on my HTPC, which was never designed for such a thing in the first place, and is low-end: Intel G2020 (iGPU) with 1Gb DDR3 RAM.

Small update: I've bumped my machine's RAM to 2Gb, found a lone stick around. As a result, all stuttering in PS disappear and the game is now fully playable with the default theme. It's running in 720p with everything set to low; no particles, no antialiasing (doesn't matter much, using it on a projector), pretty much no nothing save for anisotropic filtering (much needed for the fret board).
I haven't done any benchmarks or tried to improve the look of it more, but it feels smooth compared to my initial tests with 1gb RAM and the exact same settings. I haven't tried the "dynamic.rar" thing either, yet.
The machine used to run on Linux, but now runs a trimmed down Windows 10 (lot of services removed or deactivated, including Search/Cortana).
