The first pic (variant 2) with straight lights (not circular, like variant 4) looks nice to me.
I guess it's too hard/impossible to make the exact GHM HUD

My input would be to either use variant 3 or variant 4. variant 3 would be the "closer" route, although if you go with variant 3, maybe you can try and find a way to get the rockmeter under them to make it even closer, otherwise from a design standpoint variant 4 is definately the better option.

Last night I made a new variant that I like more than others: Direct link: variant 6This is screenshot from game (nothing added in Photoshop) and this is 100% working PS1 meter. My idea is to switch on second lamp group, when 1st group is max filled. Also I'll add cyan lines next to board sides when sp could be used. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit: Here's video with new working meters -- dead link -- full version released.

In my opinion that "good,ok,bad" meter is too much squared.

Thank you. It's the best I can do with current PS version (except image rips, because they are from Wii crappy version). Hope you and all other users would like it when its fully completed (which will be soon). Today I have tested drums gameplay, and I was pleasantly surprised. It really feels nice to play. Hope everyone will feel what I felt today...

is it possible to add hitflame animation for drum bass notes? I guess there is, but he is using Bot to complete the song, so it's not visible.

Ok, I don't know why didn't anyone notice that, but this theme looks nothing like GHM. If you look closely on any screen of it - it has different note textures and the fretboard is not any kind of bowed, just a straight surface. You note\fret line (or whatever you want to call it) makes it look totally different. PS. are the frets all one texture, or can you change their order? I usually play on Old Glory, so I'm honestly more used to that than the default GH colours : x
EDIT: Ok, I wasn't looking on the latest, latest version. That one looks less bowed and the notes are much better. Gotta give you that. The score display is still different though.

Phase Shift automatically adds different frets over board. It's possible to change board to become flat and longer, but notes will be drawn as usual. This will be very ugly. You can change your colours if you can. Look at Phase Shift\themes\GH Metallica\static\frets folder. What you mean by "Score display". When song is playing or when it ends? If second - that are playerbox and pass holder menus. Do not forget that you play Phase Shift though. It has own style menus and rules. Thank you and have fun with Phase Shift.
