Even if it's just subtitle style lyrics (ie. script.txt method), it would be a nice touch.

I have a suggestion thread here, and was wondering if dwsk.proboards.com/thread/2252/scoring-system-includes-band-multipliersIt's basically a suggestion to have the option of a Guitar Hero-styled scoring system (or something similar), to allow people like me who like getting higher scores to do so. Also suggesting a similar mechanic to "Band Multipliers" from games styled like GH5. A couple people (whom I will not name nor mention in quotes) have argued against it saying, for example: To which I say, okay, fair game. It may not work mechanically speaking. And it will divide the RB players from the GH players. Didn't Harmonix do that after GH Encore? I mean... after Rock Band was created, a lot of people were drawn to it, and it truly divided the rhythm game community. Besides, if FoFiX failed to really make it work, and if this gets implemented, shouldn't PS try and expand upon it? Also... Then why does PS use converted CON, LIVE, and .chart files into .mid files for use in the game, AND use a scoring system from another game (RB)? I digress though. Can we at least try this? If it doesn't work, then archive my thread and I'll never talk about it again.

Then why does PS use converted CON, LIVE, and .chart files into .mid files for use in the game That's such an asinine comparison. That's like saying Toyota is not trying to do its own thing because it's using fossil based fuels like BMW. I was going to type out just how Phase Shift, Rock Band and Guitar Hero vary in their containers and formats - but you already know this. The fact that end users found ways to convert from one format to the other doesn't mean the game supports it - if you throw a STFS file (Rock Band) or a FSB file (Guitar Hero) at Phase Shift it won't do anything with it. Argue your points, but try to do so well... Can we at least try this? If it doesn't work, then archive my thread and I'll never talk about it again. I'm sure if you create the code and provide it so it's ready for copy/pasting into the Phase Shift project, they might try it. But you're not asking them to type a sentence. You're asking them to make what could be significant changes to the scoring system. It's likely to take a few hours between planning, implementing and testing. They have zero obligation to spend that time on something you want just because you want it.

Karaoke Vocals. I understand that Vocals are a long term feature, but in the mean time, I think a good substitute would just be ungraded lyrics up top, so one could use PS for karaoke. Already there. There's no mic audio support, so you're just going to have to belt it out as loud as you can or use an external PA. All that you need is a chart with PART_VOCALS on it and the lyrics will be displayed when you play.
