yeah, i think that should be the first thing people should try when having issues with video BGs. You dont want to install 3 diferent codec packs wich can potentially cause conflicts.

the only reason i don't put this as the official answer to the problem is because im worried enabling "use ffdshow only in" will result in disabling ffdshow for other programs on the system, might cause problems for some

i think its safe to enable it, it already has a huge list with pretty much all the programs that need ffdshow plus they keep adding new ones with every update. But you could add a warning just in case.

I agree, also it's a fix for Phase Shift not for every program on your computer. Besides that, it should be common sense just to undo what you did(un-click the check mark) if something unrelated stops working.

i have something say,if you installed this three different codec pack on you PC,sometimes,it's will cause conflicts please WARNING.(i have a few times is show me Vid BGs function is a Interlacings but this thing is a very less.)

No, it should be under something like Start>All Programs>CCCP> Configuration>ffdshow video decoder After that just follow the rest of the directions on the first page.
