If your antivirus software is reporting a virus, your computer is either already infected from something else, or it's just a false positive. If you like, you can submit EOF's files to your antivirus' support company to report the false positive. how do i do that

Email your antivirus' support address to ask about it. There's not much I can do on that matter.

Hey Rayne, I was converting GHWoR pak.ngc's. I noticed that when EOF imported the GH file and the audio was shorter in length compared to what the original song is(audio is 3min, song.pak is suppose to be around 7min). Then the chart will get cut off depending how long the audio is. I do that this way because its alot faster to just dump the song.pak.ngc's into a folder with a random guitar.ogg & save/rename....Also, I have a problem with EOF popping up a window says "Could not create folder!" <then path name>. I don't know why it says that...just does. Google alot to try figure it out, but came up empty.
Also I wanted to know if there was a way to just import the track without the need for a audio file.

In the past, I've considered allowing EOF to open/import a chart without any audio file, for much of the same reason (casually inspecting charts without having to provide an audio file long enough), but I didn't think there would be any demand for it. Currently, there's no way to do it but I might work on adding it to EOF. I can think of two ways I could go about it:
1. Disable playback controls. This would be pretty hacky and would be likely to cause a lot of problems. 2. Generate a silent audio file and load it into memory. This would require an OGG (probably called silent.ogg) to be created, but otherwise would probably be easier to do, especially since no other parts of EOF would have to change.
Regarding the error message, when is this happening? I mentioned on the FoF forum that I'd forgotten to delete my config file before uploading this latest beta so if the problem didn't happen with older beta releases, that may be the problem. In that case, just close EOF, delete eof.cfg and open EOF again for it to reload with default settings as per usual.

Option 2 sounds fine to me. The generated silent.ogg file would be miniscule in comparison to an actual file that contained audio.
Well, about that error message. I am not sure whats going on. I am administrator on win7/64bit. It just started happening recently. Something is screwy with my permissions for one thing.
I read about the eof.cfg file and deleted it before running the latest beta. BTW, I'll try find one of those multi-language song.pak.ngc's I mentioned at fofff.net.

I'm most of the way through some logic that should prompt the user to display a language's worth of practice sections and confirm whether to keep them or try to load another set.
The only other thing I can immediately think of that could cause that error could be if the chart is located within a hidden folder, or in a protected location (ie. within a program files directory) or something.

That sounds awesome...So I take it you came across a GH import that had the multi-languaged sections?
No hidden folders, no protected locations. Never mind the error. Its probably something to do with my PC only...I wouldn't doubt that(happened before, I don't mind working around it, use to it).

I'm not sure if I have any NOTE format GH files with multiple languages, so if you can still provide any, it will allow me to do some testing.
Edit: Looks like most of the NOTE GH files I had contained multiple languages. This feature is now working perfectly.

Yes, with the new update (with the ability to change EoF controls to Feedback), it looks like I don't need to use the Feedback Chart Editor to sync notes/tempo perfectly anymore but I probably will since I am not use to EoF's dB controls yet.

Are there any particular controls you think it still needs?

I've checked but I can't seem to find anywhere in EOF to plot key changes. I'm looking to add a feature to PS to make the freestyle sounds in the same key as the song. I know there are standard MIDI events for key changes that can be used and was wondering if EOF would consider supporting these?
Thanks David

That sounds like a neat feature, I'll put it on my to do list. As far as how to show it in the editor, does it sound fine to make it so that it places on a beat marker, like with time signature and tempo changes? That should be in line with how they're displayed in sheet music, except that I'm going to just display the name of the key instead of a bunch of flats/sharps.

Are the Key Signatures written on each track or are they global in the tempo track?
Thanks David

Looks like it's in the global track.
