I'm sure there would be some kind of etiquette when it comes to asking a studio or artist for having their songs in PS. I'm just not sure how to approach that. If you are suggesting sending that attachment to people with song requests, please never do that. You need to respect peoples time, be direct and to the point, don't expect people to read a report. Waste peoples time and you increase your chances of getting dismissed.

If that's not direct and to the point, then making a first impression is a lot tougher than I thought.

does it really need explaining? your hassling someone else and asking for their time, you open a dialogue and provide the information they need, they only need the details they are actually interested in, you don't just throw a document at them and say read that, your putting all the work on their end and they have no reason to put that work in, your just increasing your odds of getting ignored, you should be treating it like a job application, no fluff and no bloat, information should be crafted to be easily digestible specifically for the person your sending it to, if your adding things they don't need then your doing it wrong
