PS MIDI Profiler application will create MIDI Profiles for your instrument. It is easy to use. All you have to do is: -choose your midi in device -choose your instrument type -detect all notes one by one -click on generate button -copy and paste the new profile to midi_profiles.ini Hope you will like it. Current version is still beta release, so feel free to post your suggestions and bug reports.

Hi, thanks for this. I have some questions. In the .. well here is a pic. What are the different hit hat options? O and C logically would be fully open and fully closed? what are the other two P = partial? S = stomp? also, do you have any general recommendations for profiling a td-25? thx again

S = stomp? also, do you have any general recommendations for profiling a td-25? thx again Oh man, sorry for the very very late reply. C = closed O = open P = pedal (max) S = sizzle (half-open) I would recommend using Real drums CC4 profile if your drums supports it (sensitive hi-hat pedal): The last line actually explains Yellow_P. You hit the cc4 hi-hat pedal to its max and as result closed hi-hat hit is generated. If I remember well, the current Phase Shift version (1.27) does not (fully) supports the sizzle and pedal notes. They are reserved for future use. My advice is to detect\set them as closed hi-hat note.

yeah the sizzle is ... I can't find a good way to set it without also triggering the open hi-hat.
I tried splitting the triggers so that only note 46 (open bow) maps to blue - this works the best but is still ... meh.
before i had both bow midi notes 26 and 46 mapped to blue and it just caused a lot of false blue hits. now both edge notes (22/26 closed/open) are yellow along with the closed bow midi note 42.
this way to me feels pretty natural even in 5 lane mode but still causes some failed hits.

I'm not so sure the CC4 option is coded correctly, i have two buttons with the name Bass, there is no hi hat column. I would recommend using Real drums CC4 profile if your drums supports it (sensitive hi-hat pedal) This left me a little confused, if the CC4 option is the one that supports sensitive pedals then why does the 'real drums' option have all the extra pedal fields? Edit: after having a play around i was able to get this working for me, and it really has improved PS for me. I've got Pedal S and the second kick mapped to midi notes that don't get used by my D-Drum kit, all i had to do was change the midi output number from the kit to something that wasn't getting used, in my case 41 and 47. It might be worth making the second kick optional, and maybe even the extra pedal bits, there was no real reason for the program to stop me from making a profile until i'd either filled all fields or removed any duplicate midi notes.

Obviously you do not know how CC4 works.
CC4 Profile requires sensitive hi-hat pedal. RealDrums profile does not require hi-hat pedal - it emulates it (that's why you have to set all yellow COPS notes).
The second kick pedal (bass) is optional and the app does not require it. You can always create a custom profile, where you can do whatever you want.

What are your PC specs and what OS do you use? Also are your midi (cable/device) drivers installed properly?

hi, strange, i have windows 10 installed on a pc with an i5 processor and 8G of ram. i noticed that only 50 % of memory is used durind the game. i "solved" the problem by desinstall the driver of drumkit and reinstall it. i aslo change the usb link. i said "solved" becaused now all drum works, but only 30 or 45 minutes after i have to switch off and switch on the drums to works again. But it's another problem, i thnik i see that in the forum. i gonna search. thanks again for your tool. gret job

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the application. When it starts, it says this: NO MIDI IN DEVICES FOUND, TERMINATING APPLICATION. Why does not it work for me? Please, help my!!! The drums is connected Hi, the application creates MIDI profiles, so obviously you need to connect your drums as MIDI device, not as gamepad. For example band hero drumkit (xbox 360 version) has midi in and midi out 5 din connectors. You should plugin a midi to usb cable, which creates the needed for the app midi in device. Using the wireless receiver for xbox 360 will not work with this app, because the connection is not a midi one.

Hey. Not sure if this is still alive, but I'm trying to work with my real electric kit, and I'm not sure how to handle my hi hat and cymbals. Hi hat seems like it has a lot of different zones on it, particularly when "open." I'm not sure it can differentiate between a sizzle and an open hit (though, it's possible I'm the one who can't differentiate). The cymbals also have multiple zones. Is it possible to set up the profile so that it has multiple notes line up with the same input from the game's perspective?
Oh, and one more issue, now that i've been testing... The game doesn't register most of my hits using the generated profile, despite all my hits being recognized by tool from this thread. It can find one hit every once in a while, but most of the time hits are ignored.
