Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble charting some custom songs.
I've tried charting some older songs (for personal use) like Ace of Spades and Walk, but they seem to go out of sync all the time.
I've only tested with Avenged Sevenfold songs, but it seems post 2000s songs sync and pre 2000s don't. With the two avenged sevenfold songs I'm making, I can google the BPM, set it in EOF and move the beat markers to line up to a spike in the audio graph (usually a drum beat or something) and it will stay in sync the whole song, but songs like Ace of Spades, Walk and Thunderstruck seem to go out of sync after only a couple of beats.
Am I doing something wrong? Are these older bands just out of time? Are the BPMs I'm getting bad?

For the most part you can't just set one tempo and be done with it. You will have to check through the entire song to make sure it stays in sync. Believe me, it used to be much worse when there were no authoring tools with visual or audio assistance and it was all done by guesswork.

Yeah, that's the way it's always been. Having an accurate beginning tempo only helps if the song actually stays in tempo.
