So It looks like the new Guitar Hero is called Guitar Hero Live, I guess I can't wait to see what it has. www.gamesradar.com/guitar-hero-live/www.videogamer.com/xbox360/guita ... erson.html Info from Videogammer Details on the next Guitar Hero game appear to have leaked ahead of its official reveal later today. As reported by Lemonde.fr (and syndicated by Yahoo France), the new game is allegedly called Guitar Hero LIVE and is in development at DJ Hero studio FreeStyleGames. It will also feature a new first-person viewpoint, the report claims. VideoGamer.com has contacted Activision for comment.

Well it doesn't make a good first impression, I don't mind idea of 2 rows of buttons but the 3 lane setup is making it feel like its just GH for the mobile generation.
Looks bad enough that I can't bring myself to read that giant writeup, I see the words always online at the top, I was joking about how that would be effective but completely shit way to handle these games in the encryption thread, is that really the route they are taking

Not impressed at all. 3 lanes really is dumbing down the game, just how low do they want to set the bar here?

I don't think it is dumbing it down at all. Three lanes with two buttons per lane sounds like a fast way to make the game confusing and frustrating.

I also feel a bit sour about this new release as well. I don't think that I will be purchasing this game unless the peripheral and game is in a bargain bin or garage sale.
The idea of a 2x3 fretboard is compelling, but the lack of other instruments, like drums and vocals, is very off putting. Just having guitar/bass gives me a red flag that this game was not very well though out and is riding on the words of pitchmen in the boardroom at Activision.

I hate this new Guitar Hero, I would of liked something more like the full band games and it looks like there is going to be no metal and I think I'm still going to buy a Xbox One for RB4.

2 rows of 3 frets... R.I.P. pinky finger action (don't take that out of context ). If they were to do two rows, I would have at least prefer two rows of four frets, but I'll give Guitar Hero Live a shot on the Wii U and deal with the 2x3 fret lane. Hey, is it possible that we could have this setup as a new playable track in a future update of Phase Shift after GHL releases (as "GHL Guitar", "2x3 Guitar", or "Double-Lane Guitar" or something) and have it support the GHL guitar controller? Probably a dumb thing to suggest but I'm wondering if it's possible.

David teased the idea of having a 2x5 setup for "Advanced Guitar" almost just as GH:Live was released.
