Hey guys, I'm making Lukhash' charts and I've got a problem on drums chart. Instead of a long and boring text, I'll explain it in 2 images : You can clearly see that I've got here the purple drum (What I think is Green in game) But ingame, here's what I get : puu.sh/zCF0The Purple notes got converted to Orange cymbals D: What should I do to fix it ? I clearly need this 5th lane for my chart (and also for another one, but less "massively")

Experiment around is my best advice. Try different gem combinations.

So how must I configure EOF to get only these 5 lanes ? Because I just checked the "Enable 5-lane drums mode" option, I thought there were nothing more to do !

actually im really not sure how the 5 lane stuff works, just looking at it eof maybe you are in the right mode, could it just be missing an ini tag to identify it correctly? would probably have to check with raynebc
also note theres a good chance 5 lanes charts are unable to coexist with real charting and any ps songs should be charted to real standard if you have to pick one or the other, as real charts work with all modes while 5 lane charts won't

Ok, so I must choose 4-lane drums for non-pro drums ?

still best to check in with raynebc or david to confirm, but as far as i know you may need to avoid the 5 lane charting if you want to be able to create real charts so yea just the normal 4 lanes in eof

My understanding is that Phase Shift automatically swaps the two right-most lanes in a 5 lane drum chart, part of a backwards compatibility mechanism. Working through this problem with david, we implemented a "five_lane_drums = True" song.ini tag (introduced in EOF 1.8b30) that would prevent the lanes from swapping. I do not know if Phase Shift has implemented support for this tag yet.

the bigger question was if u could have a single song with a 5 lane chart and a real chart at the same time or if its a case of one or the other, as if this is the case then wouldn't need to worry about 5 lane anyway

If you send me the chart I'll take a look. Make sure you include the song.ini
But really if you are charting a song you should just chart it using pro drums not 5 lane and the game will move any green cymbals to the orange which is a better system.
Thanks David

I think EOF allows it, but I don't know how it would be handled in-game.

So EOF will allow Tom Markers on a 5 Lane Chart?

Based on my limited testing, yes.

OK, I'm trying to think of possible issues with allowing that and All I can think of is that if you allow people to chart them together then it's gonna be an issue if you have an Orange and either Green or Blue Cymbal on the same line. This is because I can't move the Orange to an Occupied Lane. Thinking about this you should really prevent people from charting Orange and Blue/Green together depending on the Falkback Lane (fallbackblue = true) for 4 Lane Mode.
Below is how Phase Shift is supposed to handle each Mode.
5 Lane Chart In 7 Lane Mode:
Bass - Bass Red - Red Yellow - Yellow Cymbal Blue - Blue Tom Orange - Green Cymbal Green - Green Tom
7 Lane Chart In 5 Lane Mode
Bass - Bass Red - Red Yellow Cymbal - Yellow Yellow Tom - Yellow Blue Cymbal - Blue Blue Tom - Blue Green Cymbal - Orange Green Tom - Green
Orange - Green Cymbal
Thanks David
